Merryn is a Health Service Manager with a background in social work. She has experience in acute and community health and works with vulnerable groups, particularly people with disabilities and older people. Merryn led the local implementation of the Specialist Intellectual Disability Health Team (SIDHT) in both South East Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD), and in Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD). In her current role as District Manager, Disability at WNSWLHD Merryn leads two projects that focus on improving healthcare for people with intellectual disability, one with a focus on virtual care and the other focusing on broader communication accessibility of healthcare services.
